FC Wohlen

The FC Wohlen is a Swiss football club from Wohlen in the canton of Aargau. He plays in the Challenge League, the second highest league in the country.

The club was founded on 21 May 1904 and is the oldest football club in Switzerland, which is not created in a city. In the 1930/31 season FC Wohlen the top division of Switzerland belonged to. But mostly played the club in the 1st or 2nd Amateur League, the end of the 1970s, even in the anonymity of the third amateur league. The greatest success of recent club history was the rise in the National League B, the today's Challenge League 2002. In autumn 2004, the new stadium Niedermatten was inaugurated, it replaced the stadium Paul Walser Foundation.

The current club president of FC Wohlen Andreas Wyder. This was elected to the General Assembly in 2011 (October 20 ) for a further term of office of the present electorate.
