FC Zürich Frauen

The FC Zurich women is a Swiss women's football club from the city of Zurich. The first team plays in the history of a Swiss Women's Football Championship continuously in the highest league and won the previous 16 league titles and nine times the Swiss Cup.

History

On April 24, 1970, founded in 1916 in Zurich district SV Seebach was a women's football team. The men's team of SV Seebach played the early 30s in the second highest Swiss league. From their ranks emerged one of the biggest Swiss football idols of all time with Fredy Bickel. The women won their first championship in 1980 and were able to celebrate the first double a year later. By 2005 they went on to score 12 league titles and cup victories 7.

1981 and 1984 took the SV Seebach on "Women 's World Invitation Tournament" in the Republic of China in part. Some games at the 1981 tournament will be counted by FIFA as matches involving the Swiss national football team of women.

In 2005, the women's section of the SV Seebach founded under the name FFC Zurich Seebach own club. Between 2005 and 2008 they won 13 league titles and 8 Cuptitel.

In the summer of 2008, the time of independence was ended again. The women's teams now joined the FC Zurich. The name FFC Zurich Seebach was in FC Zurich converted women. The E- and D- juniors were integrated into the FC Zurich at the FCZ LetziKids. This closed after 40 years of a circle: get the best Zurich Women's team returned to the club where the incorporated on February 21, 1968 the first women's football club in Switzerland, which later resolved DFC Zurich, was attached.

The FC Zurich women 's record holder in the Swiss women's football and behind the FFC Bern the second most successful club in the eternal rankings. After exactly ten years without a championship, the FC Zurich women's title in 2008 brought back to Zurich and successfully defended it in 2009 and 2010.
