FC Zvezda Irkutsk

FK Zvezda Irkutsk (Russian Звезда Иркутск, scientific transliteration Zvezda Irkutsk ) was a Russian football club from the city of Irkutsk. The club played in 2007 and 2008 in the 1st Division, but was excluded from Association of Russian professional football because of outstanding salary payments in November 2008.

History

The club Zvezda Irkutsk Founded in 1957, increased in 2006 by the first place in the Eastern Group of the 2nd Division in the 1st Division on. The club played previously between 1992 and 1996 five seasons long in the first division with a fourth place in 1995 as the best result.
