FCM Young Boys Diekirch

Young Boys Diekirch is a Luxembourgian football club from Diekirch. The club plays its home games at the 1,450 -seat Stade Municipal. His club colors are yellow and blue.

History

The club was founded on 21 September 1908 as Football Club Diekirch. On 10 February 1909 he was given its present name by the addition of Young Boys. During the German occupation of Luxembourg in World War II, the club was called from 1940 FK Diekirch. In 1944, the return appointment in Young Boys.

With the exception of season 1915/16 the club 1914-1919 played in the National Division, the highest division in Luxembourg.

Only in the seasons 1950/51 and 1978/79 succeeded for a season to return to the excellence. Since then, the Young Boys shuttled between the Honorary degrees and the third class 1 division.

Managed the club in 2012 just in the league with a 6-4 on penalties (2-2 aet, 6-4 iE ) in Barragespiel against the Second Division of the 1st, 2nd District, Sporting Club Stone Fort, so was the descent from the honorary doctorate in 2013 with just one win and 25 defeats in 26 games inevitable.

When participation in the Coupe de Luxembourg, the team reached the semi-finals three times, but failed due to the later Cup winners Jeunesse Esch (1:1 and 0:4, 1976), Red Boys Differdange (1:2 and 1:2, 1979) and Union Luxembourg ( 0:3, 1989).
