Federal Reserve Police

The Federal Reserve Police is the police of the Federal Reserve System, headquartered in Washington, DC It consists of armed law enforcement officers to protect buildings, equipment, property and staff of the Central Bank.

The police force is original task of the Board (Board of Governors ), therefore, the Council of Police is authorized to give orders. Section 11 ( q) of the Federal Reserve Act delegated these police powers ( to act as law enforcement officers to protect and safeguard the premises, grounds, property, personnel, including members of the Board, of the Board, or any Federal Reserve Bank, and operations Conducted by or on behalf of the Board or a reserve bank ).
