Federation of Evangelical Lutheran Churches in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein

The Federation of Evangelical Lutheran Churches in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein ( BELK ) is a merger of five Lutheran churches was established in 1967 in Basel and the North West Switzerland; the member municipalities in Bern, Geneva, Zurich and Vaduz ( Liechtenstein ) reported about 6,890 church members (as of 2010). He is since 1979 the Lutheran World Federation.

Organization

The task of BELK is to promote the solidarity of the member municipalities.

The decision-making body is the Federal Assembly, which meets twice a year. Each member church is represented by three delegates, including in each case a priest.

The Federal Assembly elects the Federal Executive Board, which consists of the president, Vizeperäsident, secretary, treasurer and other members for two years.
