Federico Balzaretti ( born December 6, 1981 in Turin, Italy) is an Italian football player.

Balzaretti is distinguished mainly by its speed and its good technique. Since 2012 he plays for AS Roma in Serie A.

Career

The defensive specialist Balzaretti played in youth at Torino Calcio, his professional career he started at Varese FC and AC Siena. In 2002 he returned to Torino back and became the key players in Serie B.

In July 2005, the young defender joined the giants Juventus in the highest Italian league. After he was initially not considered at all by coach Fabio Capello, Balzaretti came in the second half of the season 2005/ 06 more often used.

After the Juve had relegated to Serie B in summer 2006 because of the manipulation scandal in 2005/ 06 and many stars had left the club, Federico Balzaretti was under new coach Didier Deschamps as a regular player on the left.
