Fei Junlong

Fei Junlong (Chinese费 俊 龙/费 俊 龙, pinyin Fei Junlong; born May 5, 1965 in Suzhou, Jiangsu) is a Chinese Taikonaut. He started on 12 October 2005 as commander of the Shenzhou 6 mission into space. This mission was the second manned and the first double manned space flight of China and the first flight of Fei Junlong.

In 1982 he was recruited to the Chinese Air Force at the age of 17 years of high school. He graduated from the flying school two years later as one of the best in the entire Air Force, after which he worked as a flight technology inspector.

In 1998 he was selected as Taikonaut. He was among the last five candidates for the previous flight, Shenzhou 5 For the launch of Shenzhou 6 was announced his Substitutes against the commander Zhai Zhigang provided at short notice. As a co-pilot and flight engineer flew with him Haisheng Nie.

Junlong is married since 1991 and has a son.
