Fejér County (former)

County White Castle ( Hungarian Vármegye Fejér, Latin comitatus Albensis ) was a historic administrative unit ( county / county) in the Kingdom of Hungary.

The area lies in present-day central Hungary on the face of today's Fejér county, however, was slightly less than the still existing.

Location

The county bordered on the counties county Veszprém ( Veszprém ), county Komárom ( Komárom ), Pest - Pilis - Solt -Kiskun and Tolna. It was southwest of Budapest, and its eastern boundary was the Danube.

History

The county was created in the 11th century and was in this form to large Komitatsreform 1950. During the 17th century only came Solt region for Pest - Pilis - Solt -Kiskun. In 1950 the southeastern region of Lake Balaton ( the place Enying ) from Veszprém county to the area which will Érd city and the surrounding area went to the Pest county. See further Fejér county.
