Felderbachtal ( on the horizon Haßlinghausen Forge Road )

The fields creek is a tributary of the Deilbaches ( which in turn flows into the Ruhr) in North Rhine -Westphalia.

It is located on the border between the regions of North Rhine Westphalia and north of the city of Wuppertal and south of the Ruhr valley. The individual sources are located in the north of Wuppertal directly on the border to the city Sprockhövel at an altitude of 310 meters above sea level. Then it flows in a northerly direction until a few kilometers through the territory of Sprockhövel and then through the southern part of the town of Hattingen. The last few kilometers upstream of the mouth it flows through the north- east of the city Velbert to lead the district Nierenhof at an altitude of 75 meters in the Deilbach, which in turn opens out only a few kilometers further north in the Ruhr.

The river has a length of about 12.7 km. It flows through the eponymous Felderbachtal and the so-called Elfringhauser Switzerland, a still predominantly rural embossed popular recreational area and walking area between the Ruhr and the city of Wuppertal with some country pubs. In the area of ​​16 hectare nature reserve Upper Felderbachtal it forms the eastern boundary of a path of the golf course Felderbach.

On old maps is called the Felderbach also ruffled stream.

Previously, the water power of the fields and the Pleßbaches was also used for the propulsion of several skating wheels and grinding cotta.

Mining
