FeliCa

FeliCa (short for Felicity Card) is a contactless RFID smart card system developed by Sony and is mainly used for payment systems, including the Octopus card in Hong Kong.

Technology

In the FeliCa transponder technology is a passive transponder at 13 MHz base. Passive means that the card is their energy that they needed to process, gets the reader and does not contain any internal battery source.
