Felice Bonetto

Felice Bonetto ( born June 9, 1903 in Manerbio at Brescia, † November 21, 1953 in Silao (Mexico) ) was an Italian racing driver.

Bonetto went back in the 1930s sports car racing, but he stepped into the limelight only after the Second World War, with cars from Cisitalia and Ferrari, with whom he was second in the 1949 Mille Miglia.

In the Formula 1 World Championship in 1951, he took after the resignation Luigi Fagioli its place at Alfa Romeo and achieved a third place in Italy, in 1952 and 1953, he went on Maserati and was at the Grand Prix of the Netherlands in 1953 also again a third party.

Besides, he still played sports car racing. He achieved his greatest success in 1952 by winning the Targa Florio. The sports cars were also his undoing. When Mexican Carrera Panamericana long-distance race he was killed late 1953.
