Felice Torelli

Felice Torelli ( born September 9, 1667 Verona, † June 11, 1748 in Bologna) was an Italian painter of the artistic family Torelli.

Torelli was a pupil of Santo Prunati and Giuseppe dal Sole and worked in Bologna, where he became known for his altarpieces. He married the painter Lucia Casalini (1677-1762), who was also a student of dal Sole and stood out by their portraits, their self- portrait hangs in the Uffizi Gallery. Torelli's works can be found in Bergamo, the Pinacoteca di Bologna, as well as in the university library and the city's churches. Other works primarily with religious motifs to be found mainly in churches in Faenza, Ferrara, Milan, Pisa and Verona.

His son Stefano worked in Germany and Russia.
