Felicite Island

Félicité is an island of the Seychelles and is counted as any granite islands of the Seychelles inner to the main island of Mahé. It lies about 50 km from Mahé.

Félicité is about three square kilometers in size and making it the sixth largest island in the inner Seychelles. Today it is used as a holiday island. Until the seventies of the 20th century. the island served as a coconut plantation, where about 50 people lived. In the late 19th century was interned here by the British Sultan Abdullah of Perak.

The island belongs with its neighboring islands of Ile Cocos, Les Soeurs and Marianne to the so -called " satellite islands" of La Digue.
