Felicity Huffman

Felicity Kendall Huffman ( born December 9, 1962 in Bedford, New York ) is an American actress.

Life

After attending the High School Huffman studied drama in which she made in 1988 graduated with a Bachelor of Arts. In the same year she had her first film appearance in Things Change - More luck than judgment. In the following years she starred in several films. On television, Huffman appeared in several television series, including The X-Files - The Files, Law & Order and Frasier. For her role in Huffman Sports Night was nominated for a Golden Globe Award. From 2004 to 2012, she starred in the hit TV series Desperate Housewives, in which they mimed the stressed housewife Lynette Scavo. In addition to her appearances in movies and series, she has also worked as an actress on Broadway.

2005 Huffman embodied in Duncan Tucker's road movie Transamerica conservative transsexual Bree, which is just before the last operation that allows them to become a woman. For this performance, she was honored with the Actor award from the National Board of Review, Golden Globe and an Oscar nomination in 2006.

As a voice actress she was heard in two episodes of Kim Possible as Dr. Director.

Since 1997, Huffman is married to actor William H. Macy, with whom she has two daughters ( * 2000, * 2002). She was also the acting coach of Jessica Alba.

On March 7, 2012 Huffman was honored with a star of the television category on the Hollywood Walk of Fame ( at the address 7060 Hollywood Boulevard); her husband William Macy received simultaneously at the same place is also a star.
