Felipe Caicedo

Felipe Salvador Caicedo Corozo ( born September 5, 1988 in Guayaquil ) is an Ecuadorian footballer. He usually plays as a striker, but can also be used as an attacking midfielder, as he is considered to be fast and tricky. He is currently the Arabian first division side Al- Jazira Club under contract.

Career

Caicedo began his professional career at FC unterklassigen Rocafuerte from Guayaquil in the regional third Ecuadorian League of Guayas Province. In September 2006 he moved to FC Basel. Even in his first season he showed his talent. He completed a total of 32 games and scored nine goals. On 31 January 2008 he transferred with immediate effect for around 5 million pounds to Manchester City in the Premier League in England. He came there mostly as a substitute for use. By the end of 2009, the attacker was at Sporting Lisbon Players out on loan as contracted. Of January 2010, the Spanish first division side FC Malaga Caicedo known to have taken until the end of the season as Players out on loan under contract. It should help to keep the club in the first division.

After a further lending while also Spanish side Levante UD Caicedo moved to Russia in the Premjer league to Lokomotiv Moscow.

During the winter break of the season 2013/14 he moved to the United Arab Emirates and signed for Al- Jazira Club a contract until December 2016. Locomotive received seven million euros for this transfer to peel.

Caicedo is regularly used in the Ecuadorian national team and played several games earlier in the U -16, U -17 and U -20 team of his country. He took part in the U-20 World Cup 2007 in Paraguay and in the tournament at the Copa América 2007.
