Felix Brych

Felix Brych ( born August 3, 1975 in Munich) is a German football referee and lawyer.

Life

He wrote his dissertation on the promotion of professional sport by municipalities. Brych works at the Bavarian Football Association as head of talent development & referee. He lives in Munich and is unmarried.

Football

Brych is DFB referee since 1999 and whistles for the SV Am Hart, Munich. Since 2001 head games of the 2nd Bundesliga and Bundesliga games since 2004. His first Bundesliga game, he led on 28 August 2004, when Hertha BSC FSV Mainz 05 on the first hit. In the Bundesliga, he came so far to 157 inserts (February 2013). In October 2003, he also led a game in the South Korean K -League, since 2008 Games in the Saudi league. Since January 2007 he is a FIFA referee. With the match against Liverpool FC PSV Eindhoven in 2008 he gave his debut in the UEFA Champions League. His first international game was the European Championship qualifier against Luxembourg Romania in 2007 ( 0-2). At UEFA, he was promoted to the second highest category in 2008; since the first half of the season 2009/2010 he belongs to the elite group. After the 2012/13 season Brych was awarded on June 13 as Referee of the Year by the DFB.

Brych was nominated for the 2012 Olympic Games. There he initially managed the game between Senegal and Uruguay ( Result 2-0) 29 July 2012, in which Uruguay lost an Olympic football match for the first time. He distributed six yellow and one red card. In Brazil game against Honduras, he showed eight yellow and two yellow- red cards.

Brych came on 15 May 2013 as the fourth official in the final of the UEFA Europa League in Amsterdam between Benfica and FC Chelsea for use. Main referee Björn Kuipers of the Netherlands. He participated as a referee at the FIFA Confederations Cup Brazil 2013 part.

One of the most unusual games, which he headed, the encounter between the Wehen and VfB Stuttgart in the first round of the DFB - Pokal 2007/ 08 was. He missed seven yellow and four red cards. He forgave the fastest red card in Bundesliga history in the first game of the season for 2010/11 Game 1 FC Cologne vs 1 FC Kaiserslautern.
