Felix Hell

Felix Hell ( born 14 September 1985 in Frankenthal / Pfalz ) is a German organist. He lives in the USA.

Training

Felix Hell grew up in Laumersheim. He received his first piano and organ lessons at the age of seven years. After a few months, on Easter Sunday in 1994, he designed his first Mass, a Catholic Easter High Mass, at the Voit organ in the church of St. Lawrence in the neighboring Dirmstein. In 1995 he graduated from the D- test as a church musician, in 1997 he was admitted as a twelve -year-old student at the School of Church Music in Heidelberg. Eight times he was making music first prize at the youth competition.

During his schooling Light has participated in numerous master classes at home and abroad. In 1999 he received a full scholarship at the Juilliard School in New York and moved to the United States. Two years later, a full scholarship at the Curtis Institute of Music, he was granted in Philadelphia, where he graduated in 2004, the concert and the diploma earned a Bachelor of Musical Arts.

In 2004, Light postgraduate studies at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore (Maryland) on. His previous degrees were there in 2007 his soloist diploma Graduate Artist Diploma and 2008, the Diploma Master of Musical Arts.

Profession

Hells international concert organist already has more than 700 concerts and led him to numerous countries in Europe and overseas. In addition, he played an eight CDs.

Hell is a member of the Society of Friends organ, the American Guild of Organists, the Organ Historical Society and the Organ Music Society of Sydney. He's Organ Artist Associate at Saint Peter 's Church in Manhattan, New York, Distinguished Organist -in- Residence with teaching at the Lutheran Theological Seminary ( Lutheran Theological Seminary ) in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and adjunct assistant professor of artistic organ playing at the Sunderman Conservatory, the part of the University Gettysburg.
