Felix Schoft

Felix Schoft ( born July 6, 1990 in Garmisch -Partenkirchen ) is a German ski jumper. He starts for the Ski Club Partenkirchen and is a member of the German National B- squad.

Career

Schoft ski jumping at the age of six years, began in 1997. In 2000 he won the Bayerncup ten years. 2005 came the breakthrough: The Partenkirchener won in a competition of the Germany Cup. That same winter he celebrated a victory in Alpine Cup. In 2006 he became German youth champion and came in the FIS -student Grand Prix on the podium. In December 2006 he was appointed to the Continental Cup team and was in Engelberg 21, a day later in the second jump he even won 13th place

After these good results Schoft was appointed to the National Group for New Year's event of the Four Hills Tournament in Garmisch -Partenkirchen. There he impressed in qualifying with a length of 116.5 meters and would have qualified for the competition. But not a rule- compliant jump suit led to the disqualification. Nevertheless, national coach Peter Rohwein nominated for the young Germans after the third competition of the tour, after Georg Spaeth has not convinced before. In Innsbruck he missed a 36 in the final. Nearly a year later Schoft made ​​the New Year's event in 2008 his next World Cup competition. There and jumping in Bischofshofen he missed the final round clearly, in Val di Fiemme as a 31 just for a place. At the Junior World Championships 2008 in Zakopane Schoft won the gold medal in the team competition. To kick off the 2008/09 season Schoft belonged to the tribe squad in Germany. When 36 he was able to again do not reach the final round in Kuusamo, but the team competition on the same day he made with the German team, which included Michael Uhrmann, Martin Schmitt and Michael Neumayer, surprising third place and thus a podium finish. When jumping 14 December 2008 in Pragelato he reached 17th place his best individual score in the World Cup, he was able to close in Sapporo on January 16, 2011. Another highlight of the season was to participate in the Four Hills Tournament. At the Junior World Championships 2009 Štrbské Pleso he reached with the team the Vice World Champion title. Due to the good performance of the season the coach nominated him as the fifth Springer at the Nordic Skiweltweisterschaft 2009 in Liberec. In Hinterzarten Schoft able to defend Vice World Champion title at the Junior World Cup 2010 team; in individual he reached the 6th place.

After Schoft could not prevail permanently in the World Cup at the start of the 2011/12 season, he was reinstated in the Continental Cup and achieved his first victory on snow 21 January 2012 while jumping in Sapporo. Previously, he had been in September 2008 to decide a summer jumping Continental Cup in Oberstdorf for themselves.

Private Schoft lives in Garmisch -Partenkirchen. In Bad Endorf he has been trained as federal agents. In September 2011, he has successfully completed the training and is chief of police.
