Felton is located at 39 ° 0'37 " north latitude and 75 ° 34'36 " west longitude. About 20 kilometers away is Dover to the north. Wilmington is located 70 km north. At a distance of around 20 kilometers, the Delaware Bay is to the east.

History

First historic buildings date back to the year 1850. 1868 a railway station was built and 1883 saw the establishment of a local fire department.

The city has grown rapidly in recent years. The population increased between 2000 and 2010 by 65.6 %.
