Femoral triangle

As a leg triangle (Latin femoral triangle, Scarpa triangle after Antonio Scarpa ) refers to a triangular area on the inner side of the thigh just below the groin. In the leg triangle run directly under the skin and fascia lata:

  • Femoral artery and the proximal Disposals
  • Femoral vein
  • Femoral nerve
  • Saphenous nerve

The boundaries of the femoral triangle are human:

  • Cranial: inguinal ligament ( inguinal ligament )
  • Lateral: sartorius muscle
  • Medial: musculus adductor longus
  • Dorsal ( bottom ): musculus musculus iliopsoas and pectineus

In the four-footed mammals it is bounded by:

  • Above: inguinal ligament ( inguinal ligament )
  • Cranial: sartorius muscle
  • Caudal: musculus pectineus

From the triangle leg, the leg gap continues as neurovascular road.
