Ferdinando Monfardini

Ferdinando Monfardini ( born November 20, 1984 in Isola della Scala ) is an Italian racing driver.

1994 Monfardini began his career in karting, where he was active until 2000. In 2001 he moved to Formula racing in the Italian Formula Renault. He drove team for the Durango and finally was ranked 26 in the overall standings. The following year he stayed with Durango and started in Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup, he also took part in three races in the Italian Formula Renault. 2003 drove Monfardini again for Durango in the Italian Formula Renault and finished tenth in the standings. In addition, he competed for Durango in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup and took the first time starting for BCN Competición two races of the Formula 3000 part. In 2004 he drove for AEZ a full year in Formula 3000 and again took no points.

2005 moved Monfardini in the GP2 Series, the successor series of the formula 3000th He was at first in Durango but was replaced after ten race weekends by Gianmaria Bruni. Monfardini again changed hands for the last race of the season to Coloni Motorsport and became indirect successor of his successor Gianmaria Bruni. He took five points and was thus at the end of the season 17th in the standings. He also ran two races in the World Series by Renault for DAMS. 2006 remained Monfardini at DAMS and drove the entire season as team-mate Franck Perera in the GP2 series. He took six points and was 21 in the overall standings.

2007 moved Monfardini in the GT1 class of the FIA GT Championship and drove an Aston Martin DBR9. In 2008, he launched GTA class of the International GT Open and drove a Ferrari F430.
