Fereidoon Tavallali

Fereidoon Tavallali (also: Fereydoun Tavallali, Persian فریدون توللی; * 1918 or 1919 in Shiraz, † 1985) was a Persian poet of the 20th century and archaeologist.

He studied at the Tehran University archeology and eventually worked for several years in this profession. Early on, he read poems by Roudaki, Ferdowsi, Nezami, Saadi, Hafez and Rumi. Tavallali, who published four books of poetry, also worked as a journalist. In the 1940s and 1950s he published articles and poems in Sukhan and Yaghma.
