Fereydoon Moshiri

Fereydoon Moshiri ( فريدون مشيرى ), ( born August 1926 in Tehran, Iran, † 24 October 2000, ibid ) was one of the most prominent Persian poet who both modern and classic style wrote Persian poetry.

Life

Already during his school years, Moshiri wrote poems, some of which were published in magazines. In addition to his later career as a literary journalist, he continued to write poems, which appeared in 1955 collected in his first book of poetry " Teshne -ye Toofan ". A year earlier, he married the art student Eghbal Akhavan, with whom he had two children. Other important works erschinen 1962 and 1967, which were mainly focused on the aspect of social justice and humanitarian issues.

His poems are in the Persian -speaking world today among the most popular of modern literature.
