Ferlacher Badesee

The Ferlacher lake (ugs. usually called Ressnig Pond ) is a lake in the far south of Austria. It is located on the right bank of the river Drava in the field of city Ferlach. The nearest town, a few hundred meters to the southeast, the district Ferlacher Ressnig. North of the lake, on the opposite bank of the river Drava is Maria Rain and about 10 km from Klagenfurt.

The average of 6, maximum 10 meters deep lake is only fed by groundwater. He was born in 1976 in connection with the impoundment of the river Drava to Ferlacher Reservoir, which was created during the construction of the hydroelectric power plant Ferlach - Maria Rain.
