Fermin Rocker

Fermin Rocker ( born December 22, 1907 in London, † October 18, 2004 ) was an English painter and son of the well-known anarcho-syndicalist Rudolf Rocker and Milly Witkop.

Due to the political activities of his parents, the family often had to emigrate from Germany. So Fermin grew up in Paris, London and Berlin. He learned in his childhood personalities of international anarchism know, such as Prince Kropotkin ( the founder of communist anarchism ), Errico Malatesta, Augustin Souchy, Emma Goldman, Alexander Berkman, Franz Pfemfert, Agnes Smedley, Erich and Zenzl difficulty, Nestor Makhno Max and Buenaventura Durruti Nettlau. In 1929 he emigrated to the USA and worked as a graphic designer. In 1938 he started his own business and has illustrated many children's books. His painting is counted realism to the school of American, although Fermin Rocker never felt committed to a certain art direction. In 1972 he returned to London, where he was active as a visual artist until his death.
