Fernand Dehousse

Fernand Dehousse (* July 3, 1906, † 10 August 1976 ) was a Belgian politician of the Belgian Labour Party.

Life

Dehousse studied before the Second World War, Law and Social Sciences at the University of Liège. Later he taught from 1947 at the same university as a professor law. Dehousse was a representative in the General Assembly of the United Nations for Belgium. From 1956 to 1959 he was President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council. Dehousse was a deputy in the European Parliament. He was married to the philologist and university teacher Rita Lejeune; Belgian politician Jean -Maurice Dehousse is their son.
