Fernanda da Silva

Fernanda França da Silva ( born September 25, 1989 in São Bernardo do Campo) is a Brazilian handball player who belonged to the squad of the Brazilian national team.

Career

In the club

Fernanda da Silva began playing handball in Brazil Metodista. In February 2010 it was taken by the Spanish club Parc Saguntum under contract. For Parc Saguntum the winger ran in the Spanish top flight, and took part in the 2010/11 season at the EHF Cup.

In the summer of 2011, da Silva joined the Austrian club Hypo Niederösterreich Austria, who graduated recently with the Brazilian Handball Federation signed a cooperation agreement. With Hypo she won so far in each season both the Austrian Championship as well as the ÖHB Cup. She also collects each season match practice in the EHF Champions League. In the EHF Champions League 2012/13 Hypo Niederösterreich Austria was eliminated in the first round, but qualified for the competition of the European Cup Winners' Cup. Here Hypo reached the finals and won the final match against French club Paris Issy hand. In the final two games, the Brazilian scored a total of ten goals.

In the National Team

Fernanda da Silva ran initially on the Brazilian junior national team and was subsequently included in the squad of the national team. With the Brazilian selection in 2009 she was runner-up at the Pan American Championships and won the 2011 and 2013 Pan-American Championships. In 2013 she won an additional 55 hits the scorer of the tournament crown. The Brazilian finished with the national team at the 2012 Olympic Games in London sixth. Furthermore da Silva took with Brazil at the 16th Pan American Games in Guadalajara in part. There she won the gold medal and contributed five goals in the final win over Argentina.

Fernanda da Silva was at the World Championships in 2009, 2011 and 2013 in the Brazilian squad. At the 2013 World Championships in Serbia, she celebrated winning the World Cup title.
