Fernando Amorebieta

Fernando Amorebieta Mardaras ( born March 29, 1985 in Cantaura ) is a Venezuelan- Spanish footballer who is under contract with FC Fulham.

Career

Clubs

Amorebieta was born in Venezuela and has the Spanish and Venezuelan passport. It meets the strict regulations of Athletic Bilbao, what players are concerned, since his parents were both from the Basque country and he was also trained in the youth of Athletic.

For the 2013/14 season Amorebieta moved to Fulham FC, where he signed a contract until 30 June 2017.

National

In August 2010, Amorebieta decided in future to play for the Venezuelan national team. However, shortly afterwards, he came for advice from coach Joaquín Caparrós and President Fernando Macua, for the time being to be a national player of Venezuela.

In October 2011, 1-0 in a World Cup qualifier in Puerto La Cruz Amorebieta headed the only goal for the first victory against Argentina in the Venezuelan national team history.
