Fernando Espinosa (Mexican footballer)

Fernando Espinosa Barrera ( born May 9, 1983 in Mexico City) is a Mexican footballer who operates primarily in the midfield.

Life

Espinosa began his career in 1997 at the age of 14 years at Pumas Naucalpan, a branch team Club Universidad Nacional his home club. In the summer of 2004 he moved to the first team of the Club Universidad Nacional and won with the Pumas, for which he played his first game on August 8, 2004 immediately the Mexican Supercup.

In the following Apertura 2004 he won with Pumas his first league title and could repeat this triumph twice later (2011 in the Clausura 2009 and the Clausura ).

His debut in the Primera División gave Espinosa 11 September 2004 in a 1-0 victory for the Cougars at Deportivo Toluca; his two ( so far) only goals in the Primera División, he scored 10 August 2008 in a 2-1 home win against Toluca and 2 April 2011 in the 1-3 defeat at the Jaguares de Chiapas.
