Fernando Germani

Fernando Germani ( born April 5, 1906 in Rome, † June 10, 1998 ) was an Italian organist, composer and organ teacher.

Even as a child showed Germanis musical talent. With four years he played publicly piano and violin, and at age eight he got first lessons in composition by Ottorino Respighi, who pointed out to him on the organ. He was appointed organist of the fifteen Augusteo Symphony Orchestra in Rome.

Germani was considered an outstanding interpreter of the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. Particularly significant is edited by Germani organ school in which the principles of the modern technology of the pedal game are recorded. Among the students Germanis include Egidius Doll, Paul Damjakob, Helmuth Rilling and Ekkehard Schneck.
