Fernando Jacob Hubertina Hendrika Ricksen ( born July 20, 1976 in Heerlen ) is a Dutch football player

Career

Fernando Ricksen started his professional career in 1993 at Fortuna Sittard. After 94 games and seven goals Ricksen left 1997 Sittarder towards AZ Alkmaar. In 1998 he went to the club to the Premier Division. In 2000, he joined the Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers. With the Rangers, he won 2000, 2003 and 2005, the Scottish Premier League. In the years 2000, 2002 and 2003, the team won the Scottish FA Cup. The Scottish League Cup in 2002, 2003 and 2005 ( with Ricksen as Captain ) brought to Glasgow. In 2006 Ricksen left the Scots to Russia Zenit St. Petersburg, with whom he was 2007 champion, and won the UEFA Cup in the 2007/ 08 season. In August 2009, the club broke up the contract, struck after Ricksen by his misconduct. After he could not find a new club, he finished his career.

On 2 December 2010 he revised the decision and joined his hometown club Fortuna Sittard.

For the Dutch national Ricksen ran between 2000 and 2003 to a total of 12 times without having it scored a goal.
