Fernando Romay

Fernando Romay Pereiro ( born September 23, 1959 in A Coruña ) is a former Spanish professional basketball player. The 2.13 -meter center, who was famous for his hook throw, spent his entire professional career at Real Madrid, with whom he eight Spanish championships, five Cup wins and nine international titles (2x European Champion Clubs' Cup, 3 times European Cup winners, 1x Korac Cup, 3x Intercontinental ) reached. Fernando Romay also completed a total of 174 games with the Spanish national basketball team, with the greatest success, the Vice European Championship in 1983 and the silver medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics, when they only lost in the final against the all-powerful United States was.
