Fernando Santos (Brazilian footballer born 1980)

Fernando Santos ( born February 25, 1980 in Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian footballer who is usually only called Fernando.

The center-back is from the youth division of CR Flamengo, where he also began his professional career in 2000.

During the winter break of the season 2003/ 04 Fernando moved to TSV 1860 Munich in the German Bundesliga, could not prevent his ten inserts the descent of the lions. At the end of the season he left the club and joined free transfer to FK Austria Wien.

But even with the violets of the 191 cm Brazilians remained only half a season before he returned to his hometown club Flamengo. There he played until December 2006 and was henceforth without a club. In 2006, he won with the team the Copa do Brasil.

In the 2007 /08 season Fernando played for the Bundesliga's newly MSV Duisburg. He wrote there a four-year contract.
