Fernando Villalona

Ramón Fernando Villalona Évora ( born May 7, 1955 in San Fernando de Monte Cristi ) is a Dominican Merenguesänger.

Vill alone grew up in Loma de Cabrera, where he also received his vocal training. In 1970, he participated as a representative of his city at the Festival de La Voz at the Teatro de Bellas Artes in Santo Domingo and won the first prize. He then took on some titles with Rafael Solano and had his first appearances as a member of Sergio Vargas ' band Los Hijos del Rey. Since the 1980s, he became known as the director of his own band as El Mayimbe. He recorded more than twenty albums of his own.
