Fernet Stock

Stock is a Czech liquor producer.

History

The company stock was founded in 1884 by Lionello Stock in Austria- Hungary belonging to the port city of Trieste under the name Camis & Stock. 1920 bought stock to an existing liquor factory in located near Pilsen Czech Božkov and renamed it in stock Cognac Medicinal. After initially were filled only from Italy delivered drinks, he soon went over to the production of brandy and 1927 of Fernet.

The Czech part of the company was called after the German occupation in 1939 as Jewish property. Instead of a promised return in 1947, it was born in 1948 expropriation and conversion into a state-owned enterprise. After the end of communist rule in Czechoslovakia floor became an independent stock company, in which the Italian parent company took over as ex-owner of 1993, the majority of shares. 1995 bought the Eckes- spirits group the floor group. The Czech part of floor is now the largest producer of spirits in the country. Since the summer of 2007, the stock group, whose product range is one among others Keglevich Vodka and Limonce comprises US-based Oaktree Capital Management.
