The Ferrari F2012 is the 45th Formula 1 racing cars of the Scuderia Ferrari. It was used in the 2012 Formula 1 season and powered by a Ferrari engine. The vehicle was presented on 3 February 2012 on the official website of the racing team.

Technology and Development

The Ferrari F2012 was the successor to the Ferrari 150 ° Italia. There were taken only a few parts of the previous model and largely pursued new approaches. A striking feature of the vehicle was the nose, which has a stepped shape. On the part of the team, the new front was described as " not just aesthetically ." The front suspension has been described by Ferrari as an innovation. As the only team used Ferrari at the front suspension on the tie rods while using any other push rods. Even with the side boxes, a new concept has been introduced. The F2012 was the first Ferrari, which was created under the leadership of the new technical director Pat Fry. Chief designer of the vehicle was again Nikolas Tombazis.

The gearbox, the 2.4-liter V8 engine and KERS were self- constructions of Ferrari. The fuel and lubricants were supplied by Shell, the Pirelli tires.

The Ferrari F2012 was painted red in the brand's typical. The main sponsor Philip Morris International, with its Marlboro brand was not allowed to advertise on the vehicle due to the tobacco advertising ban. On the car visible major sponsors were Acer, AMD, Fiat, Kaspersky, Santander and Shell.

Season 2012
