Ferroelectric liquid crystal displays (English ferroelectric liquid crystal display, FLCDs ) are advertisements on the basis of ferroelectric liquid crystals.

These ads are characterized by bistable properties, that is, to keep the information written to the display even after removal of the electric field. As liquid crystals materials with pronounced smectic C * phases are used. The switching time of the displays are in the range of about 100 microseconds and are significantly shorter than in conventional TN cells.
