Festival Unruhr

Festival UNRUHR is a German festival that represents the promotion of the theater youth clubs in the foreground.

History

The festival UNRUHR was created in 2002 by the German Bernhard theater educators ( the Theater an der Ruhr) and Martina Droste ( Theater Dortmund ) to life. Through the festival was young theater people have gathered in the game, the first experience, the opportunity to network. The festival here changes every year the venue or as a traveling festival oriented (eg 2010). Participants are the theater from the following cities: Mülheim an der Ruhr, Essen, Duisburg, Oberhausen, Hagen, Castrop -Rauxel, Dortmund and Bochum.

In his substantive approach UNRUHR was always evolving without departing from its principles: No selection panel, no price, no competition, but exchange between the drama ends are at the center stage. Each theater is represented with a performance. The different working and forms of presentation will be shown and introduced each other, and then searched the analyzed conversation about the performances and the theater -making. In addition, several workshops will be held, in which give professional theater makers, the participating youth room, to try out in a variety of theatrical forms themselves.
