Fiasco (bottle)

As Fiasco (Italian fiasco " bulbous bottle " to Medieval-. FLASCO " kegs " ) refers to a straw -coated bottle of Chianti. In addition, the term " Fiasco " is often used for other types of bottles and wine types.

It developed already in the Late Middle Ages from the Tonfässern antiquity; the straw wrapper was originally used to protect the then thin-walled glass from damage due to bumping around on the bottle next to it.
