Fiat Powertrain Technologies is the company Fiat SpA.

Since May 2005, Fiat Powertrain Technologies (FPT ) is responsible for engines and transmissions of passenger cars. Shortly before, the system operated for the same purpose joint venture between Fiat and General Motors had been largely resolved. For 2006, Fiat Powertrain Technologies also took over the drive trains of Iveco and the Centro Ricerche Fiat, the research of the group.

In June 2007, DaimlerChrysler ordered new engines for the Mitsubishi Fuso Canter in FPT. They are the same 3-liter engines that provide their service in the Fiat Ducato, Citroën Jumper, Peugeot Boxer, Iveco Daily, Bremach T -Rex, Multicar Fumo and many other vehicles.
