Ficarra
Ficarra is a small municipality in the province of Messina in the Italian region Sicily, with 1537 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).

Ficarra is located at 105 km west of Messina. The inhabitants mainly work in agriculture.
Borders the following municipalities: Brolo, Naso, Sant'Angelo di Brolo and Sinagra.
History
The town was founded in the Middle Ages. Was first documented Ficarra 1198th The lords Lancia received in 1656 the title of Marquis.

- Ruin of castle from the Middle Ages
- Parish church, the work year is unknown, the church was rebuilt in the 18th century. Of note is a statue of the Madonna.
