Action

The story is set in the village of Anatevka in Ukraine in 1905. Lives in the village of a Jewish community that places great value on tradition. The milkman Tevye, his wife Golde and their five daughters in poverty. Despite the threat of pogroms in Tsarist Russia Tevye retained its courage and humor.

Tevyes tradition-conscious way of life falters when the three oldest of his daughters are of marriageable age. Since he has five daughters, Tevye must be drawn the first three. German version

The German dubbed version is based on the German stage version of Rolf Merz. The main characters speak and sing Yossi Yadin as Tevye, Lya Dulizkaya as Golde, Peter Fröhlich as Mottel, Eva fungus as Tzeitel, Hodel Sigrun Kiesewetter, Inge Bruck as Chava, Erik Jelde as Lazar Wolf and Alice Franz as Yente. The conductor took Bert reason. The German version was released with this lineup as a double album on vinyl.
