Fidelity National Information Services (FIS ) is an American company that offers in the field of financial services supporting software and the financial transactions.

The history of FIS dates back to the year 1962. This year, the predecessor company Computer Power Incorporated was founded. Since then the company has grown primarily through a number of mergers. In 2004, FIS took over the Kordoba GmbH. Since the merger with Certegy February 1, 2006 FIS is listed on the New York Stock Exchange. The company is led there in the S & P 500. FIS maintains business relations with more than 10,000 financial institutions, including 37 of the world's 50 largest banks.

In 2007, the company employed approximately 31,000 employees and generated sales of 4.758 billion U.S. dollars.
