Fiesso Umbertiano

Fiesso Umbertiano is a Northeast Italian municipality ( comune ) with 4256 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Rovigo in Veneto. The community is located approximately 18.5 kilometers southwest of Rovigo and 13 kilometers north of Ferrara. Parts of the community belong to the Transpadana Ferrarese. Fiesso Umbertiano lies on the southern edge of the poles Sine.

History

Core of the village is the small village of San Donato di Pedrurio. Their chapel is first mentioned in 932. The heyday the town in the 17th and 18th centuries. Numerous buildings of this period have been preserved.

Traffic

The eastern boundary of the parish is the Autostrada A13 from Padua Rovigo and Ferrara to Bologna. However, a connection does not exist.
