Figure skating at the Olympic Games

Figure skating has been part of the Olympic Summer Games 1908 program of the Olympic Games.

Figure skating was the first Olympic winter sport. The competitions in 1908 and 1920 were carried out as part of the Summer Games and subsequently declared to be official Olympic competitions. It was also the first Olympic sport in which there was competition for women. Since 1924 figure skating will be held at the Olympic Winter Games. Currently includes five disciplines on the Olympic program.
