Filip De Wilde

Filip Alfons Annie De Wilde ( born July 5, 1964 in Zele ) is a retired Belgian football goalkeeper.

Club career

De Wilde began his career in 1982 at the age of 16 years at KSK Beveren. A season later he was with the club Belgian champion. For the season 1987/88 he moved to RSC Anderlecht, with whom he has four times Belgian champion and three-time Belgian Cup winners before moving to Sporting Lisbon in 1996. In April 1998 he moved back to Anderlecht RSC. He was with Anderlecht two more times Belgian champion. In 2003 he signed for SK Sturm Graz. In January 2004 he moved to SC Lokeren St.Niklaas Waasland, where he remained until October 2004. Until April 2005 he stood for the Belgian second division KFC Verbroedering Geel goal. He then ended his career.

1994 and 2000 he was voted the best Belgian Goalkeeper of the Year.

National

De Wilde was between 1989 and 2000 33 times in goal for the Belgian national team. With it, he took three times at a FIFA World Cup finals ( 1990, 1994 and 1998 (1990 and 1994 he was behind Michel Preud'homme the number 2 in the gate, and so was not used ) He also recorded with Belgium.. at the European Football Championship 2000 in part.
