In the club
The first steps in the Italian professional football made of 1.81 m wide and 74 kg Inzaghi in the 1991/92 season with his hometown club FC Piacenza, for which he came to two appearances in Serie B, the second highest Italian league. The following year, he scored 13 goals in 21 Serie C1 games ( third Italian league ) for the UC AlbinoLeffe.
After each one-year interlude in Verona and Piacenza again Inzaghi made his debut in the season 1995/96 with the AC Parma in Serie A, scoring two goals in 15 games.
Final Inzaghi is then established in the 1996/97 season, when he succeeded in his second year in Serie A, 24 goals in 33 games for Atalanta Bergamo. Thus, the top clubs in Italy were aware of him and he moved to Juventus in 1997, for which he played four seasons with great success, in 1997/98 Italian masters was and was able to record a total of 57 goals in 120 Serie A games.

In the Champions League, however, he led his team with four goals to reach the final against Liverpool, where he led a 2-1 victory with two goals in Milan.

In the National Team
Inzaghi made his debut in the Italian national team on June 8, 1997 during the Tournoi de France against Brazil.
At the World Cup in 1998, he reached the quarter-finals with Italy. Inzaghi came twice, a field that did not score. 2000 Inzaghi Vice-European Champion, he denied it four games, scoring two goals. In the 2002 World Cup, he failed with his team already in the second round against the hosts South Korea and came only twice used.

Filippo Inzaghi is not considered a great technician, faster sprinters or physically strong player in general. The Dutch football legend Johan Cruyff even said of Inzaghi, that this could not really playing football. His lack of willingness to run commented Inzaghi himself with the words: " To skate others are there."
He is further away than a player who theatrically fell to the ground with a slight body contact and trying in this way to get awarded penalty.
Inzaghi is still one of the top scorer in European competition. Also in the Italian national team and for his clubs he could often enter in the scoresheet. This he owes to his particular way of playing:
Inzaghi is a born goal striker who always positioned at the border of the offside and the goal always targeted. This allows him to carry after a good passing a teammate and a correspondingly ordinated running the ball in a direct duel with the opposing goalkeeper into the goal. Filippo Inzaghi Simone 's younger brother was also Italian international striker. He is in a relationship with the Italian presenter Alessia Ventura.
