Filippo Pozzato

Filippo " Pippo " Pozzato ( born September 9, 1981 in Sandrigo ) is an Italian racing cyclist.

He was professional in 2000 and remained until 2002 when team Mapei -Quick Step. After the dissolution of that team he joined in 2003 to Fassa Bortolo. In the years 2005 and 2006 he rode for Quick Step. From 2007 to 2008 Pozzato rode for Liquigas. From 2009 to 2011, he was the team Katjuscha under contract.

Pozzato is a specialist in one-day races and shorter stage races. His most notable victories included the overall at Tirreno- Adriatico in 2003, one each stages in the Tour de France in 2004 and 2007, the HEW cyclassics 2005, the " Primavera " Milan-San Remo in 2006, the semi- classic Omloop Het Volk 2007 and the Grand Prix Ouest France 2013.
