Filsenberg

The Filsenberg ( 805.3 m above sea level. NHN ) is a mountain in the Swabian Alb south of Öschingen, a district of Mossingen in Baden-Württemberg.

The rough pasture on the unforested Filsenberghochfläche is there because of the growing rare plants ( orchids, Everlasting, Turk's cap lilies, gentians, and others) since 1983 under nature protection. The 35.8 -hectare nature reserve Filsenberg is associated with the natural space Mean Kuppenalb. Poor grass, Nardus grasslands and fringe communities dominate the landscape.

Protective purpose is while largely avoiding fertilizer and nutrient input preserving the high meadows with its variety of animal and plant species.
